LSG captain Rishabh Pant is back in the headlines, but for personal reasons this time. His alleged ex-girlfriend, Isha Negi, recently posted an Instagram reel supporting some other team, which triggered Pant's fanbase.

Pant and Negi were reportedly dating for several years and even confirmed the relationship on social media. However, according to fresh rumours, the couple have allegedly broken up.

Meanwhile, Isha Negi recently attended the Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals IPL 2026 game at the Mullanpur Stadium in Chandigarh. She was seen supporting PBKS and even called Shreyas Iyer her ‘favourite captain.’

This post led to widespread outrage as fans were not happy with Negi being disloyal to Rishabh Pant. The LSG captain is currently going through a tough phase as his team sits at the bottom of the table with 2 wins in 8 games.

Pant’s personal form is also in shambles, and his confidence on the field appeared completely shattered. Amid this, Isha Negi’s post sparked backlash with fans blaming her for Rishabh Pant’s downfall.

Who is Isha Negi?

Meanwhile, Isha Negi is an interior designer and entrepreneur by profession. Educated in Dehradun and Noida, she also posts fashion, travel and lifestyle content on social media.

She reportedly began dating Rishabh Pant in 2015, long before the wicket-keeper became a regular in the Indian national team. They made their relationship public in 2019 through heartfelt social media posts. 

As of now, they are not married, and while there have been periodic rumours about both a possible wedding and even a breakup, neither Rishabh Pant nor Isha Negi has made any official statement clarifying their current status.

Rishabh Pant blames LSG management after painful loss

Meanwhile, LSG lost their sixth game of the season to KKR in a Super Over contest. Lucknow messed up the 156-run chase and eventually got humiliated in the Super Over too.

After the game, captain Rishabh Pant was devastated. He said, “Too many minds don’t make it easy on the ground,” thus taking a sly dig at the LSG management. 

Pant’s comment suggests that he was overloaded with advice from the dressing room, and constant meddling in decision-making made him uncomfortable. 

Even former cricketer Shaun Pollock felt the LSG’s internal disconnect, saying Rishabh Pant threw his team management under the bus with that statement. With LSG still mathematically alive but struggling for form, how Pant and the management align their decision-making could define the remainder of their season.

LSG will next face the Mumbai Indians on May 4 at the Wankhede Stadium, and this will be their do-or-die game in the context of the playoff qualification scenario.
