It is a significant development, Arjun Tendulkar has listed himself for a new tournament, despite being constantly ignored by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL 2026.
The young all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has found himself on the sidelines in the IPL 2026.
Despite being part of the Lucknow Super Giants camp, Arjun has not been given a chance to play a single match so far this season.
While the team struggles at the bottom of the table, his absence from the playing XI has raised questions among fans. It is important to note that LSG is currently at the bottom of the IPL 2026 points table, with just two wins in eight matches so far.
Arjun Tendulkar looks beyond IPL
With opportunities not coming his way in the IPL, Arjun has registered himself for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League. According to reports shared by journalist Gaurav Gupta, the left-arm pacer has entered the auction with a base price of ₹5 lakh. The auction is scheduled to take place on May 2 in Mumbai.

Arjun, who currently represents Goa in domestic cricket, did not participate in the previous edition of the tournament.
Arjun Tendulkar's limited role with LSG so far
Even though Arjun Tendulkar has not featured in matches for LSG in IPL 2026, he has remained active within the LSG setup.
He has been regularly seen carrying drinks for teammates and putting in effort during practice sessions. Reports indicate that he has been bowling well in the nets, showing discipline and consistency.
As an all-rounder, Arjun has the ability to contribute with both bat and ball. However, team combinations and selection choices have kept him out of the playing XI.
As the IPL 2026 moves ahead, it will be interesting to see if LSG eventually gives him a chance in the line-up.
Arjun Tendulkar cleared for T20 Mumbai League auction
Arjun Tendulkar has been cleared to participate in the T20 Mumbai League auction. The decision comes after the Mumbai Cricket Association confirmed that a special exemption has been granted, allowing him to bypass a standard eligibility rule.
Under normal MCA regulations, any local player returning after playing as a guest for another state association must complete a mandatory one-year cooling-off period before being eligible to participate in the local league.
However, MCA secretary Unmesh Khanvilkar clarified that this rule does not apply in Arjun's case.
“Since they have not participated in the T20 league organised by the association of their respective teams, the BCCI has allowed them to participate in the T20 Mumbai League,” Khanvilkar told Sportstar.
“This is to inform you that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has approved the participation of Mr. Arjun Tendulkar and Mr. Siddhant Addhatrao in the T20 Mumbai League – Season 4,” stated a communication from the MCA to franchise operators (as per Sportstar).
The T20 Mumbai League could provide Arjun Tendulkar with a valuable platform to showcase his skills. Domestic leagues often serve as a platform for young players to showcase their skills and themselves and catch the attention of selectors.
