The 11th edition of the PSL is set to arrive in a few months, and the Pakistani cricket fans are all excited for some unmissable T20 action on their home soil. But amid this, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi found himself under fire again.

The auction for the PSL 2026 was just wrapped up a few days ago, and a massive allegation created buzz. The General Manager of the Hyderabad Kingsmen alleged that they had signed Aaron Hardie, only to be informed later that he would not be allowed to join their squad.

PSL owner drops explosive claim after auction drama

Since the PSL was introduced to the Pakistan cricket, fans enjoyed some iconic moments, and the thrills became higher over time.

But the upcoming edition of the tournament is all set to spread more thrills as two new franchises were introduced to make the competition even tighter. But before the upcoming edition went on the big stage, a massive allegation rocked the PCB.

The Hyderabad Kingsmen have stepped into the PSL arena and are set to start their journey in the upcoming edition of the tournament. But before that, their General Manager made an explosive claim. As the PSL auction was held on February 11, the franchise signed Australian star Aaron Hardie, only for the situation to take a dramatic and unexpected twist later.

The franchise’s General Manager, Faisal Mirza, dropped a bombshell, claiming they were denied the chance to keep Aaron Hardie after being told he wasn’t available. But after that, another PSL franchise signed him. His claim put the PCB into the hot waters.

“Hyderabad did sign Aaron Hardie, but we were told you can't, since he's not available, but later he was signed by another franchise,” he said.

Peshawar Zalmi snatch Aaron Hardie in lucrative deal

After Hyderabad faced a debatable rejection of Aaron Hardie’s inclusion in the team, Peshawar Zalmi pulled off the masterstroke. In a stunning direct signing, the PSL franchise secured the Australian all-rounder for a whopping 4.20 crore, giving the team a massive boost ahead of the tournament.

Peshawar Zalmi have also unveiled a powerhouse squad, packed with match-winners like Babar Azam, Ali Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem, Khurram Shehzad, and Iftikhar Ahmed. In the auction table, the franchise made another thrilling deal, naming Michael Bracewell in a 4.20 crore deal.

In the recently ended BBL, Aaron Hardie has showcased his brilliance. In 12 matches, he secured 12 wickets with an economy rate of 8.63. His lethal seam bowling combined with explosive batting will bring serious firepower to Peshawar Zalmi’s squad.

PSL 2026 set to deliver fresh drama and unmatched action

As the PSL is returning with its 11th edition, the tournament is coming with a completely revamped structure. Starting from March 26, the tournament will be played in a span of 39 days, as the final match will take place on May 3. Adding to that, the inclusion of two new teams added more thrills.

The tournament will follow a single round-robin format, with each team facing every other team once, followed by a Super Four stage before the playoffs kick off. With just a few days left for the actions to begin, fans are buzzing with excitement.
