Pakistan faced drubbings in England, wherein, they lost at Leeds by an innings and 103 runs, followed by another 194 run loss at Lord's. In the aftermath of the two losses, PCB made a host of changes to the squad and sent Rizwan and co. home in the middle of the series.
What followed was chaotic for the senior player, where he was subjected to PCB investigations, as well as online betting allegations. When Rizwan was about to appear for the fitness tests for the domestic red-ball season, he was denied entry at the NCA.
However, the matter is about to find its conclusion now. As reported by Geo News, PCB has allowed Rizwan to play domestic cricket again. Also, both parties will now look to find a peacful way to improve their fractured relationship.

According to the origingal plans, Rizwan was planning to represent and lead his departmental side, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, late in September from the second round of President's Trophy Grade-I. But all the aformentioned things went down and he had to wait for the PCB green light to play again.
Now, if the 34-year-old is given the permission to play with immediate effect, he could play the next round of fixtures starting from October 19. SNGPL will face the Iftikhar Ahmed-led, Khan Research Labs at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Ground in Rawalpindi.
