Interestingly, Hussey and Fleming did wonders in their first year of collaboration, and Chennai Super Kings lifted their 3rd title. Further, the duo went on to win the IPL title on two more occasions, in 2021 and 2023. After, Stephen Fleming joined England, he wanted Hussey to work with him again. However, the Australia legend rejected the offer.It is worth noting that around the same time, Cricket Australia offered a key role to Mike Hussey and the southpaw seems to be more interested in joining the Baggy Greens. Therefore, it is unlikely that Hussey will join any other franchise for IPL 2027.CSK Sign Mohit Sharma As Their Bowling CoachThe five-time winners have failed to qualify for the playoffs in the last three seasons. So, for IPL 2027, the Men in Yellow have decided to undergo massive overhauls.On Tuesday, September 29, the CSK CEO also confirmed roping in Mohit Sharma as their bowling coach for IPL 2027."Zaheer is in the process of finalising the support staff. He seems to have zeroed in on Mohit for the bowling coach role. That is my understanding," said CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan to Cricbuzz.It will be the first time that Mohit Sharma will coach a side. He was an active IPL player until a few years ago but announced his retirement on December 3, 2025. Mohi is an IPL veteran, played 120 matches in the lucrative league. He featured for CSK in four seasons. The right-armer began his IPL career with Chennai, where he played three seasons and took 57 wickets at an average of 22.1. But when the franchise faced a two-year ban, Mohit had to switch his base to Punjab before returning for IPL 2019. Notably, he was a part of the Champions League-winning Chennai team in 2014/15.
