Manav Suthar Registers Best Bowling Figures by an Indian in Sri Lanka
Manav Suthar also picked up four wickets in the first innings and registered his first 10-wicket haul in Test cricket. The left-arm spinner had the figures of 10/131, making it the best bowling figures by an Indian against Sri Lanka.
Manav Suthar became the third Indian to take a 10-wicket haul in Sri Lanka. He outshone the figures of Harbhajan Singh (10/153 at Galle in 2008) and R Ashwin (10/160 at Galle in 2015). Venkatesh Prasad's figures of 10 for 153 remain his only ten-wicket haul in Test cricket, achieved during the first Test of India's 1996-97 tour of South Africa at Kingsmead. He took 5 for 60 in the first innings and 5 for 93 in the second innings.
England - Akash Deep (10/187)
Indian pacer Akash Deep achieved match figures of 10/187 (4/88 and 6/99) against England at Edgbaston in July 2025. He became the 2nd Indian to claim a 10-wicket haul in a Test match on English soil after former India fast bowler Chetan Sharma.
Pakistan - Kapil Dev (8/85)
