The IPL 2026 may be a little less than two months away, but the preparation has already begun. After assembling strong squads at the auction, franchises are gearing up for a memorable season.

After cutting ties with the Kolkata Knight Riders, Team India’s former bowling coach Bharat Arun joined LSG just after the previous IPL season. Ahead of the upcoming edition, he was spotted mentoring India’s next-generation bowlers at LSG’s IPL camp in Bengaluru.

Bharat Arun nurtures India’s next-gen bowling talent at LSG camp

The thrilling T20 actions are coming back to Indian cricket as the IPL is returning with yet another thrilling season. Before that, as the teams are slowly starting their preparations, LSG has started its off-season camp in Bengaluru ahead of the IPL 2026.

Just after wrapping up the IPL 2025, LSG made a masterstroke, signing Bharat Arun as their bowling coach. The former Indian pacer brings a wealth of experience, having spent years honing his coaching skills, including a four-year stint with KKR before joining the Lucknow franchise.

As the Lucknow Super Giants have started their off-season camp in Bengaluru, India’s next generation bowlers like Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, Naman Tiwari, and Himmat Singh were seen hustling hard in the nets.

In a viral video, Bharat Arun was seen keeping close eyes on the young bowlers with an aim of shaping India’s bowling future. As Team India’s bowling coach, the former Indian bowlers brought some of the gems, as the world of cricket still hails their brilliance.

Taking up his new role with the LSG, his aim remained the same as he is all focused on building a solid bowling lineup for the franchise. His arrival promises a much-needed boost, giving the Lucknow squad added firepower heading into the upcoming season.

The rest of the squad’s arrival remains on hold

As the IPL 2026 is expected to start in March, there is still some time left for the tournament. The Lucknow Super Giants have already launched their off-season camp, with some bowlers putting in hard work in the nets, while the rest of the squad is yet to join the preparations.

Reports suggest the remaining players are expected to arrive later. Some of the LSG stars are busy with international duty, and some of them are busy in the domestic circuit. Just before the season kicks off, they are scheduled to join the camp.

LSG set sights on first-ever IPL title

After stepping into the IPL world in 2022, LSG has yet to lift their maiden IPL season. In the last three seasons, the team underwent several changes, but the highly anticipated trophy remained away from them. After cutting ties with KL Rahul, LSG announced Rishabh Pant as their new skipper, but nothing changed at all.

In the last season, LSG faced eight defeats in 14 matches and registered only six victories. They missed several close opportunities and ultimately finished in seventh place. As the new season approaches, the franchise has made some big signings while retaining the core squad. Depending on the firepower, they will try to lift their maiden IPL trophy.
