The Bangladesh Cricket Board has officially announced a strong 15-member One Day International squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been appointed as the captain to lead the team in the three-match white-ball series. Meanwhile, Najmul Hossain Shanto will serve as his deputy, taking on the vice-captaincy role for this 50-over assignment.
The team enters the tour with high confidence following a successful home season, which included an emphatic series win against Pakistan and positive yield in white-ball matches against Australia earlier this summer.
Pace Veterans Return For Zimbabwe ODI Leg
The selection committee has named a balanced roster designed to provide depth across all departments. The batting lineup is bolstered by the presence of Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar, alongside emerging top-order prospects like Tanzid Hasan and Mohammed Saif Hassan.
The explosive Tawhid Hridoy and seasoned all-rounder Musaddek Hossain Saikat are set to anchor the middle order, while Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan returns behind the stumps.
Bangladesh’s bowling arsenal features a highly dangerous pace battery. Speed sensations Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Nahid Rana, all of whom were strategically rested from the preceding one-off Test match, return fresh to spearhead the fast-bowling unit alongside the experienced left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman.
The spin department is equally potent, led by the captain himself. Miraz will be closely supported by the rising leg-spin sensation Rishad Hossain and left-arm orthodox spinner Tanvir Islam, offering multiple tactical options to exploit the Harare pitches.

Bangladesh Tour To Kick Off From June 28
The tour of Zimbabwe will kick off with a one-off Test match scheduled from June 28 to July 2 at the historic Harare Sports Club. Following the conclusion of the longest format, the focus will shift to the 50-over format.
The three ODIs will all take place at the Harare Sports Club. All matches are scheduled to commence at 1:30 PM Bangladesh Standard Time.
With the last batches of the squad having already arrived in Harare to acclimate to local conditions, the upcoming series serves as a critical opportunity for Bangladesh to fine-tune their players and solidify their structural depth ahead of a packed international calendar later this year.

Bangladesh Keen To Beat Zimbabwe At Home
On paper, Bangladesh is a strong side going into the ODI series. The visitors possess significantly more experience in the 50-over format and have arrived with a near full-strength bowling attack led by Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam and Nahid Rana.
The return of those pacers gives Bangladesh a major advantage, particularly on Zimbabwean surfaces that can offer assistance to seam bowlers early in the innings.
The batting unit also looks settled with Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar and Tawhid Hridoy providing stability around captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Bangladesh have enjoyed a strong run in ODI cricket recently, which should give them confidence heading into the tour.
