In the all-important game, India Women will take on Bangladesh Women in the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Thursday evening.

Notably, both India and Bangladesh have won two matches and lost a solitary game in the tournament. It is worth mentioning that the Women in Blue have never lost to the Tigresses in T20Is.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Women in Blue started their campaign with massive victories over Pakistan Women and Netherlands Women, before they had to swallow a tough pill against South Africa in their previous outing.

Nigar Sultana Joty's Bangladesh, on the other hand, started off with a win over the Dutch before losing lopsidedly to Australia Women. However, the Tigresses made a sensational comeback by beating Pakistan Women, who were knocked out of the marquee event.

As the excitement is at an all-time high for the IND-W vs BAN-W match, in this article, let's take a look at the toss update and the playing XI of India Women and Bangladesh Women.

IND-W vs BAN-W: Captains Thoughts

Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "(Will she bowl today?) Not really, I was just warming up myself.

(On the surface) Yeah, I think it's a good wicket to bat on. If you can spend sometime on the wicket, you will enjoy as it's a really good wicket. For the bowling unit, if you can spin your fingers, there is something from the surface. Hopefully our bowling group can come up strong today.

(On playing South Africa on this same surface) Yeah, that was a very good pitch to bat and bowl. You just have to read the pitch and play accordingly.

(Is it just about winning today or do they have the NRR in mind as well) First of all, we just have to win today and then let's see how it goes."

Nigar Sultana Joty (Bangladesh Women Captain): "We want to bat first. In these conditions, we want to put a score on the board.

It's really important game for us. A huge opportunity for us to beat the top side. We want to give our everything and we are happy to be here.

I think our batters are in bad patches. They will come in this game. Our bowlers have been consistent and that's a good thing. We are going with the same XI."

IND-W vs BAN-W: Pitch Report

Pitch Report by Veda Krishnamurthy: "It’s beautiful weather in Manchester. It’s going to be a second match on this pitch. The same pitch was used in the India vs South Africa game. The pitch looks dry, dusty and has visible cracks. It will favor the spinners. Batting could become challenging as the game progresses. We have already seen spin has played a major role on this wicket and the pacers will have to switch to their slower ones. I think 160-170 is a par score."
