In the ongoing IPL 2026 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, the Ajinkya Rahane-led side have dealt a massive blow as Angkrish Raghuvanshi has walked off the field. The star keeper-batter picked up a finger injury, which forced him to leave the field with an injury.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been KKR’s best batter in IPL 2026, and the right-handed batter picked up the injury while keeping wickets in the first innings. Hence, the management and fans now fear whether the 21-year-old will be fit to bat in the second innings.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi Leaves The Field With Injury

Angkrish Raghuvanshi picked up the injury in the 11th over. On the 5th ball of the Varun Chakaravarthy over, Tilak Varma mistimed a shot that went straight up in the air. The bowler was well in position for the catch, but Angkrish got excited and covered a good distance.

Notably, Varun took the catch, but Angrish bumped into him, resulting in both players falling on the ground and the catch getting dropped. The right-arm spinner slammed the keeper, who was apologetic for his action.

Eventually, after an over, Angkrish realised that he won’t be able to continue and left the field after consulting with the physio. At the time of writing this article, Tejasvi Dahiya is keeping the wickets for the Knight Riders.

KKR Fear Crashing Out Of IPL 2026

Notably, KKR have 11 points in 12 matches. They are on the brink of elimination. A defeat tonight will end their playoff hopes. Therefore, they require Raghuvanshi to bat because 147 can be a tricky total if a wicket or two fall early in the innings.

If KKR win this match, then they will also have to win their last group stage match against Delhi Capitals. It will be then only that the three-time winners will qualify for playoffs. Therefore, they want Angkrish Raghuvanshi to be fit. There are rumours that KKR have asked for a concussion sub.
