Karma Hits RCB’s Tim David on Saturday (Source: AFP Photos)
Tim David questioned Jitesh Sharma’s batting credentials on Saturday during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. And David paid the price immediately after, showing the world that no one can get away from karma.
Tim David likes to hit big, whether the bowler is a spinner or a pacer. Even though Jitesh Sharma has the ability to go berserk, he has not been at the best of his touches lately.
Tim David Denies Single To Jitesh Sharma Off Axar Patel
The eventful incident happened during the 16th over of RCB’s innings when David and Jitesh were in the middle. DC captain Axar Patel, who won the toss earlier, brought himself into the attack.
David, despite playing the first ball towards deep mid-wicket, did not run a single to give Jitesh back on strike. He wanted to attack Axar more, a bit of underestimating the opposition, to be honest.
Axar came back straightaway, as David holed out to T Natarajan on the very next ball off the left-arm spinner.

Laced with four fours and one six, Tim David made 26 off 17 balls against DC. Jitesh, on the other hand, struggled like nobody, as his miserable knock of 20-ball 14 came to an end during the 20th over of RCB’s innings.
Jitesh could only make 14 off 20 balls, which included one four only.
RCB Struggle Against DC In Green Jersey
RCB wore a green jersey on Saturday while facing Delhi Capitals. They could not shine on their special match, managing only 175 runs on the board while losing eight wickets.
Phil Salt gave RCB a blistering start, smashing 63 runs off 38 balls, just what the franchise were looking for. However, the other failed to complement him, as RCB could not even reach 180 at the end.
Tim David's Numbers In IPL 2026
David was in exceptional form in IPL 2026, a competition where he had only lost his wicket once until the DC fixture. He had remained unbeaten on four occasions, including a spectacular 25-ball 70 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The other scores of Tim David read 14*, 34*, 13 and 16 not out.

DC, on the other hand, are sixth on the chart, with two victories and as many defeats. They are currently in the middle, with the scoreboard reading 9/1 in 1.2 overs. Pathum Nissanka has already returned to the pavilion, courtesy of a fantastic DRS taken by Rajat Patidar to give Bhuvneshwar Kumar a wicket.
