The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are hosting Delhi Capitals in Match 26 of the ongoing IPL 2026 on Saturday at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

This game holds special significance for RCB as it will be their 100th IPL match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Adding to the occasion, RCB will wear their traditional green jersey, a gesture to promote environmental awareness during one of their home afternoon matches.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, led by Axar Patel, have had a mixed campaign so far. They started the season strongly with two consecutive wins but have since suffered back-to-back defeats. 

Currently sitting in sixth place with four points from four matches, DC will be eager to return to winning ways.

Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain): [Happy to bat first?] Yeah, I am pretty much happy. We were planning to bat first today, a day game and looks a good surface. Looking to put a good total on the board and put them under pressure.

[On Green jersey] We have this jersey to show our commitment to sustainability and encourage everyone to make green choices for the planet.

[Team changes] No, we are playing with the same side. [On making Chinnaswamy a fortress] There was a lot of planning behind it and as we know this year, we have a final at Chinnaswammy and we have to win all the home matches.  [On continuing his good form in IPL] Yeah definitely.

Axar Patel (Delhi Capitals Captain): "We will bowl first. [on the decision] The wicket looks nice and hard. It could be slow in the day but it is a chasing ground and we want to chase it.

[on changes] Same XI today. [whether the week long gap is good] We lost a couple of games so it was good to get a longer break. The team came together and will restart the momentum.
