Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad have picked their top 10 greatest Test all-rounders of all time, with only two Indians included in the list.

The England wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler and former fast bowler Stuart Broad discussed their choices on their podcast, For the Love of Cricket.

The duo included West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers at the top of the list, followed by South Africa great Jacques Kallis in second place, while England's recently retired all-rounder Ben Stokes was ranked third.

Sir Garfield Sobers Leads All-Time All-Rounders List

Sir Garfield Sobers was an easy choice for the top position for Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler. The legendary West Indies all-rounder played 93 Tests between 1954 and 1974 and finished his career with 8,032 runs at an average of 57.78 and 235 wickets.

Sobers died on July 17, 2026, aged 89, just 11 days before his 90th birthday.

Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad placed Jacques Kallis in second position. The former star player played 166 Tests and made 13,289 runs at an average of 55.37 and strike rate of 45.97. With the ball, he bagged 292 wickets in 272 innings at an economy rate of 2.82.

The pair also included Ben Stokes in third place, followed by another England legend, Ian Botham. Stokes retired from international cricket in June 2026 after the third Test against New Zealand.

Before taking his retirement, Stokes played 122 matches and made 7273 runs at an average of 34.46 and a strike rate of 58.52. With the ball, he bagged 252 wickets in 182 innings at an economy rate of 3.32.
