In a recent 'Ask Me Anything' on social media platform Reddit, Sachin Tendulkar has directly responded to a question from a fan that has involved three key figures of world cricket.

Tendulkar, who made his debut QnA session on the Reddit platform with the ‘AMA’ poster, went live to reply to fan comments from 5 PM IST and chose Steve Smith and Harry Brook, among others, while reacting to a question about who their current favourites are.

Sachin Tendulkar names non-Indian favourites amongst batters

Sachin Tendulkar, aka the God of Cricket, has been a technical batter throughout his career, executing class and perfection with every shot he played. As he is currently on the sidelines of the cricket world, he has been partaking in various activities. One of them was the Q&A session of the Reddit channel.

During the session, a fan asked, “Hi Sachin, who are your favourite non-indian batters currently?” Tendulkar shortly and crisply named three players, amongst whom one was of Australian origin, with the other two being English cricketers.

“Harry Brook, Joe Root, Steve Smith…” replied Sachin under the comment of the fan on Reddit without further explanation on his choices.

While Joe Root and Steve Smith are two veterans of the game pushing past their limits every day, Harry Brook, on the other hand, is a young prospect of England who has been leading the side and carrying out his batting duties equally in recent times.

Steve Smith, who has over 11,000 Test runs, last featured in the South Africa Test series, while Joe Root has been on the verge of tackling down Tendulkar’s famous Test and ODI records himself.

Who are Sachin Tendulkar’s current favourite Indian cricketers?

Although not in the Reddit channel, in several QnA sessions and public interviews, Tendulkar has taken the names of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as his modern-day favourites.

While the duo have retired from Test and T20Is, they continue to slide the ground in the 50-over format, dreaming of the 2027 World Cup trophy.

Notably, both Rohit and Kohli will be seen performing with the bat in the upcoming India vs New Zealand 1st ODI on November 4 at Eden Park in Auckland.
