Just a few days ago, on last Saturday, Ishan Kishan’s grandfather, Anurag Pandey, confirmed the possibility of the Indian cricketer’s marriage to his long-time girlfriend Aditi Hundia. But a twist in the tale unfolded when Ishan’s mother refuted Grandfather’s confirmation in a conversation with IANS.
Notably, Ishan Kishan’s grandfather made a statement that almost put an end to the speculations about the relationship between the Indian batter and Jaipur-born model Aditi Hundia.
“Whoever Ishan chooses to marry, I fully accept- his decision is mine, We are ready to accept whoever he [Ishan] wants to marry. Aditi Hundia is his girlfriend. She is a model. One should accept what makes children happy,” said the southpaw’s grandfather to ANI.

Nonetheless, grandfather’s confirmation didn’t last for even a week as Ishan Kishan’s mother categorically refused all possibilities of the young cricketer’s marriage with Aditi Hundia or anyone else.
“No marriage conversation right now, it’s only the time for his cricket, he [Ishan] is still very young in terms of age?” said Ishan’s mother to IANS.
Furthermore, she was also asked about grandfather’s remarks on Ishan’s marriage, to which she gave a firm response.
“Grandfather is quite old now, the elderly people have an excitement about the kids’ marriage. A lot of stuff on social media about kids' relationships makes the elderly people in the family excited,” she asserted later while denying the marriage possibilities.
SMAT 2025 to T20 World Cup 2026: Ishan Kishan enjoys dream run of form
Speaking of Ishan Kishan’s performances for India in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, he has been in a sensational run of form with the bat. The young southpaw is currently the leading run-scorer for India in the prestigious cricket biennial.
He has scored 158 runs in three innings at an amazing average of 52.66 and an outstanding strike rate of 197.50, hitting two swashbuckling half-centuries against Namibia and Pakistan, respectively, in the last two games. He also won the 'Player of the Match' award for his match-winning knock against Pakistan.
The last few months have been a ‘dream come true’ phase for the 27-year-old as he secured a spot in India’s T20I squad for the series against New Zealand and the T20 World Cup 2026. Ishan made it to the senior Indian side in the shortest format of the game after a long wait of more than two years.
The Patna-born batting star made this comeback possible on the back of his sensational performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, both as a batter and captain for his domestic team, Jharkhand.
Apart from leading Jharkhand to win their maiden SMAT title, Ishan also finished as the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He smashed 517 runs in 10 innings at an average of 57.44 and an astonishing strike rate of 197.31, hitting two centuries and two half-centuries, including an unbeaten appearance.
He also won the ‘Player of the Match’ award in the tournament’s final against Haryana, for his blistering knock of 101 runs off just 49 balls, smashing six fours and 10 sixes.
