The Rajasthan Royals franchise continues to remain at the top of the IPL 2026 points table. Jos Buttler attained a huge batting record with his fiery knock against the Delhi Capitals. In other news, the BCB has altered the schedule of Bangladesh’s upcoming series against New Zealand.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi still on top, Rajasthan Royals retain number one spot

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal retained his ‘Orange Cap’ of the IPL 2026 season, considering his Delhi Capitals rival Sameer Rizvi fell for a duck against Gujarat Titans in match 14 of the tournament. Jaiswal is currently leading the run-scoring race of the season with 170 runs in three innings at an average of 170. His Royals teammate Ravi Bishnoi also retained his ‘Purple Cap’, with seven wickets to his name from three innings at a bowling average of 11.71.

With Delhi Capitals failing to defeat Titans, the Rajasthan Royals franchise also continues to maintain their number one position on the 10-team IPL 2026 points table with six points from three matches.

Bangladesh changes schedule of New Zealand series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has changed the schedule of Bangladesh’s upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand. In a bid to save energy by avoiding the use of stadium floodlights, the three ODI matches between the two sides will now have a start time of 11:00 AM in Bangladesh. Similarly, each of the three T20Is will commence from 2:00 PM onwards, as opposed to their evening start times as originally planned.

Jos Buttler complete 600 T20 sixes

Gujarat Titans senior Jos Buttler blasted 52 off just 27 balls against Delhi Capitals in match 14 of the IPL 2026 season. The legendary England opener launched three fours and five huge sixes at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In the process, Buttler has now completed 600 T20 sixes in his career, thus becoming only the fifth cricketer in the world and the first non-West Indies player to scale the landmark figure.

Rawalpindiz replace Naseem Shah with Ben Sears in PSL 2026

The Rawalpindiz franchise has roped in New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears. The speedster was recruited by the franchise as a replacement for young Pakistan paceman Naseem Shah owing to his injury. The fast bowler suffered an injury during Rawalpindiz’ match against Karachi Kings a few days ago.

Apart from sustaining the setback, Naseem has also attracted some unwanted attention through his controversial social media post against a Pakistani politician.

Suryakumar Yadav honoured at Wankhede Stadium

Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has been honored by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On the same occasion, former Indian head coach and commentary legend Ravi Shastri was also felicitated by getting a stand named after him at the iconic Mumbai venue amid the ongoing IPL 2026 season.
