Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh have once again been ruled out of the series. Leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha was also ruled out owing to his hamstring injury, prompting the selection committee to include Todd Murphy in the side instead.

Josh Inglis will continue to lead the team in Bangladesh after leading Australia in the recently-concluded series in Pakistan.
