In a significant development, the BCCI confirmed that the Indian team will travel to Zimbabwe for a T20I series against the host nation. The tour will comprise three T20I matches, with both teams set to lock horns with each other at the Harare Sports Club.
India recently enjoyed stellar success in T20 cricket, becoming the first team to defend the T20 World Cup title. Led by Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue registered an emphatic victory in the all-important final against New Zealand, clinching their third T20 World Cup title.
As the T20I players light up the IPL 2026, the BCCI has released an official statement, confirming the India vs Zimbabwe schedule 2026.

(India vs Zimbabwe schedule 2026)
According to the BCCI press release, the Indian team will travel to Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series in late July. Interestingly, the Zimbabwean team is set to tour India for a three-match ODI series in January 2027.
The India vs Zimbabwe Schedule 2026 suggests that both teams will cross swords against each other right after the Indian team's tour of Ireland. After the conclusion of the IPL 2026, the Indian team will host Afghanistan in a one-off Test and a three-match ODI series.

After that, the T20I-bound players will travel to Ireland for two matches against the host nation on June 26 and 28 in Belfast before taking on England across five T20Is between July 1 and 11.
While the India vs England ODI series is set to be played from July 14 to 19, the Indian team doesn't have any international assignment in late July and August. As confirmed by the BCCI, the Zimbabwe Cricket will host the Men in Blue in three T20Is in that window.
India vs Zimbabwe 2026 schedule: Which venue will host the T20I matches?
The Harare Sports Club has been given the first preference over the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo to host the high-voltage T20I series.
It's worth noting that the iconic Zimbabwean venue conducted all five matches of the series when the Indian side travelled to the African nation back in 2024, and it will host all games of the upcoming series.
What could be India's probable squad for Zimbabwe T20Is?
India have multiple T20I specialists who aren't regulars in the ODI setup. These players are likely to form the core of the India squad for the Zimbabwe T20Is.
Considering the likes of Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Axar Patel will play ODIs regularly heading to the 2027 World Cup, the BCCI selection committee might pick an entirely different squad for the Zimbabwe T20Is.
So, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav could form India's core batting group, with Shivam Dube and Arshdeep Singh replacing Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah, respectively, as the frontline allrounder and fast bowler.
The eyes will also be on several young players, who would be keen to earn a T20I call-up by showcasing their mettle in the IPL 2026.
