Imad Wasim has reportedly filed a legal case against his ex-wife, Sannia Ashfaq, following a series of serious allegations she made against him on social media. The matter, which began on Instagram, has now moved into the courtroom as both sides prepare for a legal fight.
Over the past few days, Sannia Ashfaq shared several posts accusing Imad Wasim of abandoning her during pregnancy and cheating on her during their marriage.
She also claimed that he forced her to undergo an abortion in 2023 in Lahore. In one of her posts, she referred to him as a 'murderer' and a 'cheater'.
Imad Wasim moves court over defamation claims by Ex-wife
In response, Imad Wasim has taken legal action, claiming that the accusations are false and damaging to his reputation. According to reports, he has approached the court to challenge what he describes as baseless claims made by his ex-wife.
Legal proceedings are now underway, and the case is expected to determine the truth behind the serious allegations.

Social media dispute turns serious between Imad Wasim and Ex-wife
It is important to note that the controversy intensified after Sannia Ashfaq shared screenshots of WhatsApp conversations allegedly between her and Imad.
The chats showed heated exchanges in which she requested him to be present for the birth of their child.
According to the screenshots, Imad warned her against contacting him or his family and threatened legal action if she did not comply. She also claimed that she was pregnant with their third child at the time and felt abandoned. In a video message, she also requested Mohsin Naqvi to investigate the matter.
His Ex-wife also called upon Pakistan's Prime Minister and urged Islamabad United to remove him from the squad.
“In December 2023, he got my child aborted in Lahore. He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it. He cheated on me. @islamabadunitedpsl has given a chance to a murderer and a cheater. #boycottislamabadunited no cheater or murderer should get an escape.”
Imad Wasim shares about his troubled marriage
Earlier, before marrying Nyla Raja, Imad Wasim shared a detailed statement on social media about his personal life. Without directly responding, he admitted that his marriage had gone through a difficult phase.
“I went through one of the hardest chapters of my life after a marriage that did not work,” he wrote. "Even so, that chapter gave me the greatest blessings of my life, my children. I love them beyond words, and that love will never change."
He also stated that he had decided to remarry in order to find peace and stability in his life after a difficult period.
"With the grace of Allah and the guidance of my parents, I have now married Nyla. This step was taken thoughtfully and with clear intention to build a life rooted in peace, stability, and mutual respect. Nyla has brought calm, dignity, and strength into my life, and I stand by this decision with complete conviction,” the cricketer wrote.
However, Sannia reacted strongly to the announcement, claiming that he cheated on her and calling his new wife a 'homewrecker.'
