As Harshit was seen visibly struggling while walking, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal delivered the prize to his seat. Just after he was announced as the winner, Dhumal came down from the stage with the winner’s trophy and handed him at his seat. As he was struggling to walk due to the injury, the BCCI ensured he didn’t have to climb the stage, and the kind gesture stole the spotlight. In his first-ever ODI game against England, he secured three crucial heads, turning heads worldwide. The 50-over format brought the best out of him as he secured 26 wickets in 14 matches. The IPL stage already witnessed Harshit Rana’s brilliance in the shortest format, and Indian cricket found a future superstar in him.
