Rajasthan Royals (RR) have kick-started their IPL 2026 with a bang. They opened their campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and then pulled off a heist vs Gujarat Titans in their previous outing.
Now, the caravan is back home for the Royals, as they are set to face off with the Mumbai Indians at the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati, on Tuesday.
As they won two on two, Rajasthan are looking like a well-balanced unit under Riyan Parag's leadership. Tushar Deshpande and Jofra Archer defended 15 runs in the last two overs, pulling off a victory from the jaws of defeat. Moreover, the inclusion of Ravi Bishnoi has made RR's bowling a well-oiled machine.
Meanwhile, with the bat, the opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi are doing what they do the best. And Dhruv Jurel's batting in the last game was the biggest positive.
Before their next game, here is the best RR Playing XI vs MI.
RR Predicted Playing XI vs MI- IPL 2026
Top Order: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel
Although Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed early, he still performed well in the last game. He laid the foundation with his 18-ball 31, where he smoked five boundaries and a maximum. As Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed a half-century, the openers played out the entire powerplay to share a stand of 70 runs.

RR have played a punt by handing the number three to Dhruv Jurel over Shimron Hetmyer, and so far it has been a golden move. He scored his best IPL score, hitting 75 off 42 balls against the Titans, meaning he will be a sure-shot starter in the RR Playing XI vs MI.
Middle Order & All-Rounders: Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Dasun Shanaka, Ravindra Jadeja
Riyan Parag, the batter, could not do much in the previous match, but the captain Riyan Parag was 10/10. RR skipper will be playing at his home ground in Guwahati, which will further motivate him to perform.
Shimron Hetmyer played a timely cameo against Gujarat, but he will be a vital cog against a tougher bowling line-up in the RR Playing XI vs MI.
Donovan Ferreira was RR's only weak link in the last game; they will be keen to replace the South African. There can be a toss-up between Dasun Shanaka and Shubham Dubey, but the Sri Lankan T20I captain might get a nod ahead due to his experience.
Rajasthan have played a major punt on Ravindra Jadeja, who failed in Ahmedabad. Jaddu's big-match temperament will be lethal vs Mumbai.
Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Nandre Burger, Ravi Bishnoi
In the last game, Jofra Archer bowled a rough first spell, but the English quick brought back the Royals with a four-run penultimate over. He will be pulled up to deliver against his former IPL franchise.
If Jofra bowled a brilliant 19th over vs GT, Tushar Deshpande was extraordinary in the last over. He gave away just four runs and sealed the deal with Rashid Khan’s wicket.
Nandre Burger was the Man of the Match the last time Rajasthan played in Assam. The left-arm quick was equally impressive against Gujarat.
Sandeep Sharma had a tough outing vs GT, so he might lose his place to Ravi Bishnoi in the RR Playing XI vs MI. Sharma might not come in as the Impact Player as well. Brijesh Sharma can come in as the Impact Player vs MI.
