Harmanpreet Kaur creates history for India Women

Harmanpreet Kaur has completed 150 matches as captain of the India Women’s team. She has now become the first cricketer in history to reach the landmark figure, and is currently one of only four players in the world to have captained a side in more than 100 Women’s T20Is.

Harmanpreet achieved the feat in India’s final Group A match of the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup against Pakistan in Dubai.

Shree Charani help India Women bulldoze Pakistan

Team India bulldozed Pakistan Women by seven wickets in just 8.4 overs in match number nine of the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup in Dubai. Bowling first, spinners Shree Charani and Prema Rawat picked up three wickets each, while Deepti Sharma chipped in with two to bundle out the ‘Women in Green’ for just 55

In turn, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur notched up the winning runs during her 18*-run knock at number four. 

KL Rahul to miss Duleep Trophy 2026 final for South Zone

South Zone captain Tilak Varma has confirmed that senior Indian opener KL Rahul will not be part of the team’s playing XI in the final of the Duleep Trophy 2026 season against the East Zone in Chennai.

While speaking with the reporters before the high-profile match, Varma said “KL bhai (Rahul) isn’t there. Him (Devdutt Padikkal) coming into the side will really strengthen our batting line-up. The kind of form we have seen from him in the last two or three games has been really great, so having him will be a big boost for us.”

Aaqib Javed to continue as Pakistan Director of High Performance and Selector

Brian Lara has become the latest cricketing personality to express his support for former Pakistan captain and jailed ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, amidst reports of the latter’s deteriorating health condition in prison. Lara took to his Instagram account and pleaded for better care for the legendary all-rounder.
