Amid a busy India vs England T20I series, some off-field drama has caught the fans’ eye. This time it’s 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi grabbing attention for reposting an Instagram reel.
Sooryavanshi shot up to fame with a sensational IPL 2026 season where he scored nearly 800 runs. Immediately after, he received his maiden international call-up for the Ireland and England series.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stalking Laila Faisal
Meanwhile, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi waits patiently for his debut, his Instagram activity has caught the fans’ attention. According to a social media user, the 15-year-old reposted an Instagram reel of influencer Laila Faisal.
For context, Laila Faisal is the rumoured girlfriend of Indian opener Abhishek Sharma. Fans are claiming that Vaibhav may have been stalking her and accidentally reposted a reel.
Having said that, the claim is in fact true. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did repost Laila’s reel. However, it is also important to note that Abhishek Sharma and Laila Faisal never publicly accepted their alleged relationship.
The duo were captured together on a couple of occasions but refrained from addressing the true nature of the relationship. Hence, technically, Laila is not officially associated with any cricketer.

Who is Laila Faisal?
Laila Faisal is a London-educated entrepreneur and fashion designer. She co-founded LRF Designs, a luxury fashion and lifestyle label, with her mother, Roohi Faisal.
She studied psychology at King's College London before getting a fashion and branding degree at the London College of Fashion. Her dating rumours with Abhishek Sharma began a year ago.
Laila reposted Abhishek Sharma's famous 135-run T20I innings on social media with a supportive caption. She was also reportedly seen attending IPL and India matches.
Fans also have noticed her spending time with Abhishek's sister, Komal Sharma. However, despite the speculations, neither Abhishek Sharma nor Laila Faisal has publicly confirmed that they are in a relationship.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi still waiting for his debut
Meanwhile, on the field, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is eagerly waiting for his international debut. He didn’t get a chance in India’s 2-game series defeat against Ireland and was snubbed from the first T20I against England as well.
On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma has shown good form. Against England, he scored 59 off 24 balls in the first T20I to help India reach 189/7 before rain played spoilsport.
Even against Ireland, Abhishek scored 49 runs in the first T20I, but India couldn't capitalise on it and not only lost the game but also the series for the first time against the Irish side.
India will take on England in the second T20I on July 4 at Manchester. Abhishek Sharma is expected to continue to open, but suspense on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s potential debut continues to linger.
