In the comment, David called out Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq for his controversial bowling action. Joining his teammate Cameron Green in going against Tariq, David wrote “bro takes 500 year to bowl and still ends up throwing it”
Compatible to the comment, the star Pakistani spinner was spotted taking questionable pauses in his delivery stride while bowling against the USA team on February 10.

Ravichandran Ashwin extends support for Usman Tariq
Amidst growing concerns regarding Usman Tariq’s bowling action, former Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has stepped in favour of the Pakistani spinner. Ashwin even got into a disagreement with former RCB and KKR star Shreevats Goswami on the micro-blogging site.
With Goswami questioning Tariq’s controversial pause, Ashwin argued that bowlers should be permitted such privilege considering batters are also allowed to perform switch hits without discussing it with umpires.
In any case, Usman Tariq and the rest of his Pakistan teammates will now face arch-rivals Team India in their next Group A match of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
