Dale Steyn impressed by Nepal’s brave performance
On Sunday, February 8, Dale Steyn praised Nepal’s spirited performance against England in their T20 World Cup 2026 clash at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Notably, the match was filled with twists and drama, and Nepal’s fearless approach left a lasting impression on the former South African star.

Following Steyn’s comments, CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand confirmed that the board is considering the possibility of appointing Steyn, particularly as a pace bowling coach.
He emphasised that Nepal’s fast bowling unit still needs improvement, but also acknowledged the potential impact a coach of Steyn’s caliber could have on the team.
“We know our fast bowling needs work, so soon we'll definitely approach Dale Steyn in a formal way,” CAN President said.
