The Pakistan Super League 2026 is set to have their inaugural match in the business end of the month of March and the mega tournament of Pakistan is all excited for their anthem song already. With rumours spreading on star Pakistani and ex-Bollywood singer Atif Aslam to be a part of the anthem, the hype is now even more louder.
Atif Aslam has been known to be part of these mega anthems earlier too, where he has sung in a previous season, delivering a superhit number with Aima Baig back in PSL 7 in the 2022 edition, where he featured in the song 'Aagay Dekh'.
Atif returns To Star In PSL 2026 Anthem
However, this return of Atif Aslam with the PSL 2026 anthem has added another layer of excitement among both cricket and music lovers. In an official social media release of the HBL PSL, Atif was announced as the lead male voice in the anthem named 'Beat Pe Khelenge'.
Now, the buzz around Atif's PSL 11 inclusion is massive, largely because he is now following the legacy of Pakistan's popular singer Ali Zafar, who built this anthem tradition in the earlier years.
While Ali Zafar has been the voice of PSL since its inception and for multiple years after, Aslam had also made a major mark with his 2022 hit.
In Pakistan, he is arguably the country's most beloved contemporary star, with a career that has spanned over two decades. Atif Aslam's inclusion adds to the star power factor in the league where, after a few years of experimental lineups, fans have been vocal about wanting ‘big-star’ energy.

PSL 2026 To Have Mega Anthem Like IPL
The month-long festival and its anthems are the heartbeat of the celebration, much like the Indian Premier League, whose iconic beats have reverberated among Indian fans.
Since 2016, the songs of PSL have turned into cultural milestones that define the vibe of each season. In the early years, Ali Zafar's tracks, like Ab Khel Jamega, became the gold standard, with franchises also having some of their individual tracks based on their team names.
Nevertheless, it also becomes a marketing powerhouse, with the song used in every TV commercial, stadium walkout, and social media video, and a catchy anthem ensures that the PSL brand stays top of mind for months.
The league anthem is reportedly scheduled to release 7 to 10 days before the opening ceremony, which suggests that it will be released by March 20.
PSL 2026 Set To Kick Off From March 26
Meanwhile, the PSL has now expanded to eight teams from this edition, where Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans are joined by Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz.
There will be two groups of four in the tournament, with each team playing 10 league matches, twice against those in their group and once against teams from the opposite group.
The playoffs will see the top four teams qualify for the Qualifier and two Eliminators, along with the final match, as the tournament spans a total of 44 matches.
The inaugural match will see Lahore Qalandars face Hyderabad Kingsmen on March 26, with Gaddafi Stadium, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Iqbal Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Imran Khan Cricket Stadium serving as the primary venues for the month-long tournament.
