The inaugural season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL 2026) is set to begin on August 26, bringing a new franchise-based T20 cricket tournament to Europe.

The league will provide players from associate cricket nations more opportunities to play high-level T20 cricket. The tournament will also focus on developing and improving local talent.

It is vital to note that six teams have been added to the first season of ETPL 2026: Amsterdam Flames, Rotterdam Dockers, Dublin Guardians, Belfast Wolves, Edinburgh Castle Rockers and Glasgow Cosmic.

The tournament will use a double-round robin format in the league stage, and each team will play every other team twice.

After the league matches, the top teams will move into the knockout stage. The tournament will have 32 matches in total, including 30 league matches and two knockout games.

The ETPL 2026 will be played across two venues in the Netherlands and Ireland. The first part of the tournament will take place at Sportpark Duivesteijn in Voorburg, Netherlands. The second leg of the competition will be held at The Village in Dublin, Ireland.
