In a significant development, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have dealt a massive blow as the England cricket team has been hit with two injuries. The development comes when the Three Lions are locking horns against Pakistan in the 1st of a three-match Test series at Headingley in Leeds.
A report from Telegraph mentioned that Sam Curran and Will Jacks are the two England stars who are nursing injuries and are doubtful for selection for the upcoming series.
Sam Curran Out For Entire Summer
England’s star all-rounder, Sam Curran, has undergone surgery for his groin injury and won’t be available for selection in the ongoing Test series against Pakistan. So far, England have named squads for just two of their three Test matches, and there were reports that Sam Curran might be re-called to the Test setup for the 3rd Test.
"With the retirement of Ben Stokes, it's quite clear that he provided us with a certain balance in the team. Sam Curran is certainly a player of interest for us," Marcus North had said.

The 28-year-old has not played Test cricket since 2021, and he will miss the remainder of the English summer to recover from his groin injury.
Will Jacks Doubtful For Sri Lanka ODIs
Will Jacks has also dealt an injury blow. The star batter got his appendix removed and is now racing against time to be fit for the upcoming ODIs against Sri Lanka. Following the three-match Test series against Pakistan, England will host Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka and England will kickstart the T20I series from September 13 and Will Jacks has less than a month to recover from his appendix blow. Notably, Sri Lanka and England will play three T20Is and three ODIs and Jacks continue to be a key star for the Three Lions.
Sam Curran And Will Jacks' Tryst With Injuries
Sam Curran has been frequently getting injured which is a growing concern for England. The left-arm all-rounder missed entire 2026 IPL because of groin injury. The same issue has been bothering him for a long time and it was the best for him to treat it properly.
