Delhi Police takes a sharp dig at Pakistan over dramatic U-turn
Over the years, the India-Pakistan rivalry has been the best attraction of any ICC tournament, but before stepping into the T20 World Cup 2026 stage, Pakistan’s move threatened the rivalry’s future. Backing Bangladesh, Mohsin Naqvi’s Pakistan Cricket Board moved to boycott the clash, leaving the cricket world uncertain about whether the blockbuster match would even take place.
But later on, PCB took a U-turn and played the match against their arch-rivals, reversing their decision. But the move backfired on them as they faced a massive defeat against India, which faced massive criticism. They struggled in every unit as Team India outplayed them and registered a 61-run victory.
Adding to the ongoing criticism, the Delhi Police added their humorous jab at the Men in Green. Mocking their near-last-minute U-turn, the department delivered a hilarious remark that quickly grabbed attention.
On their social media handle, a picture of the Pakistani side, Delhi Police wrote, “Galat jagah U-turn loge to yuhin muh ki khaoge (If you take a U-turn at the wrong place, you'll just keep getting slapped in the face like this).” The hilarious jab has captivated hearts as fans can’t stop laughing at that humorous jab at their arch-rivals.
Pakistan’s performance forces Naqvi into an early exit
The boycott drama took the fever of the historic India-Pakistan rivalry to a whole different level as both teams were hungry to register a dominating victory. To support the Men in Green for the high-voltage fixture, PCB chief travelled to Sri Lanka, but Pakistan’s horrible performance forced him to leave the stadium in the middle.
As per reports, Mohsin Naqvi had planned a post-match visit to the dressing room to congratulate his players if the Pakistan national cricket team had secured a win. But things saw an unwanted move as Team India completely outplayed the Men in Green.
The reports also suggested that the Sri Lankan President would also join Naqvi in the dressing room defeat. But after Usman Khan’s dismissal, Pakistan slipped into a serious struggle, and Mohsin Naqvi left the stadium.
India grab commanding victory as Pakistan face harsh reality
Coming to bat first, India looked fearless since the beginning, despite Abhishek Sharma walking away on a duck, Ishan Kishan stitched an 87-run stand with Tilak Varma. After Tilak’s departure, Kishan took charge and smashed a brilliant 77 off just 40 balls, while valuable contributions from the rest powered the Men in Blue to an imposing total of 175.
Chasing the target, Pakistan never looked in control as the Indian bowlers unleashed havoc right from the start. After Hardik Pandya marked the first blood, Bumrah secured two crucial scalps in the same over.
Despite a fighting 44 from Usman Khan, the effort went in vain as Pakistan slumped to a crushing defeat, with their earlier boycott talk now haunting them even more.
