India's Super 8 schedule in the T20 World Cup 2026 was revealed after they registered three convincing victories on the trot. Under Suryakumar Yadav's leadership, the Men in Blue had a terrific outing on Sunday, as they thumped arch-rivals Pakistan by a significant 61-run margin.
Pakistani captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bowl first in a bid to test the Indian batters on a tacky wicket under overcast conditions in Colombo.
Although Salman himself dismissed Abhishek Sharma early, Ishan Kishan's fireworks and valuable cameos from Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube powered India to a challenging total of 175 runs. In reply, Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 114 runs, conceding a landslide win to their Indian counterparts.

The win against Pakistan helped India not only extend their unbeaten streak but also qualify for the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue became the first team from Group A to secure a Super 8 berth, while Pakistan slipped to third on the points table following a massive dip in their Net Run Rate.
As things stand, Salman Ali Agha and his men must win their final group-stage fixture against Namibia to avoid an embarrassing group-stage exit from the tournament. Meanwhile, as they have confirmed their entry into the next round, here's India's Super 8 schedule in the T20 World Cup.

India's Super 8 schedule in T20 World Cup 2026 comprises high-voltage encounters against South Africa, the West Indies and one team between Australia and Zimbabwe.
After facing the Netherlands in their final group-stage affair, the Men in Blue will take on South Africa at the grand Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 22.
This will mark the first match of India's T20 World Cup Super 8 schedule before they travel down to the south for a riveting face-off against either Zimbabwe or Australia, whichever team qualifies from group B alongside Sri Lanka.
The second match of Team India's Super 8 schedule will be played on Thursday, February 26, at the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium. This will be their first-ever game in Chennai after playing their group-stage games across four different cities- Mumbai, Delhi, Colombo and Ahmedabad.
The Men in Blue will further go on to face the in-form West Indies in their final Super 8 affair. The high-voltage India vs West Indies contest will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 1.
Super 8 pre-seeding in T20 World Cup 2026
While India, South Africa, West Indies and one between Australia and Zimbabwe will comprise one group in the Super 8, the other group will be studded by Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England, provided these teams qualify for the next round.
As things stand, only India and the West Indies have qualified for the Super 8. While Pakistan and England must win their final game to ensure an entry into the next round, South Africa and New Zealand are the favourites to proceed from Group D.
