The Indian Premier League's schedule is yet to be announced officially, but one of Board of Control for Cricket in India's ticketing partner has leaked the start and end for the Indian extravaganza.
Regarded as one of the biggest event in the cricketing career, the IPL 2026 is reportedly scheduled to begin in late March, but the confirmed dates haven't been revealed due to unknown reasons.
There are speculations that elections in West Bengal, Assam, and Tamil Nadu, scheduled during the IPL window, are the reason for the schedule’s postponement, while some reports suggest that the BCCI wants to rejig its plans due to Ramnavmi on March 26.
Notably, three teams - Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals will be affected by the elections, which is why the board is waiting for Election Commission notification before releasing IPL’s schedule.
