Bangladesh have announced a 15-member squad for the ACC Men's Under-19 Asia Cup 2026, which will get underway in Oman on November 5.
The defending champions will look to make another strong impression in the continental tournament after naming a group featuring several players from their recent youth cricket setup.
Farid Hasan Faysal To Captain Bangladesh U19, Ahsan Al Mumin Named Vice-Captain
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has handed the captaincy responsibility to wicketkeeper-batter Farid Hasan Faysal, while all-rounder Ahsan Al Mumin will serve as his deputy.
The 15-member squad features a mix of batters, all-rounders and bowling options as Bangladesh prepare to eye the title.
Bangladesh Under-19 squad for the Asia Cup: Farid Hasan Faysal (Captain), Ahsan Ali Mumin (Vice-captain), Abdullah Al Muhi, Farhan Sadik, Kawser Ahmed, Tafiul Alam Tamim, Shakil Khan, Rakibul Hossan, Sk Zarif Siyam, Al Amin Hossain Rony, Ali Rafi, Robiul Hasan Anik, Sheikh Atiqur Rahman Akash, Al Amin Hossen, Rubay Islam Rizon.

Tafiul Alam Tamim, Sk Zarif Siyam Among Bangladesh U19 Players To Watch
Several members of the squad have already made an impression through their performances in youth and domestic age-group cricket. Tafiul Alam Tamim and Sk Zarif Siyam are two names who arrive at the tournament with notable performances behind them.
Tafiul made headlines during the GD Trophy final against Bangladesh U23, where he claimed six wickets for 36 runs. Although rain eventually forced the match to be abandoned, his bowling effort helped restrict the senior side to 245 runs.
Meanwhile, Siyam finished as the tournament's leading run-scorer, accumulating 180 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 96. Vice-captain Ahsan Al Mumin has shown his batting potential as well, scoring 56 off 66 balls in the second Youth ODI against Afghanistan, which ended in a tie.
The bowling department also has an exciting prospect in Rubay Islam Rizon. He claimed five wickets for 37 runs in the third Youth ODI against Afghanistan and followed it up with four wickets in the second match.
Bangladesh have been placed in Group B alongside Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Malaysia in the U19 Asia Cup 2026. They will begin their campaign against Afghanistan on November 5 before facing Sri Lanka two days later. Their final group-stage fixture will be against Malaysia on November 9.
