Namibia stun South Africa despite Dewald Brevis heroics

Namibia stunned South Africa by 18 runs in the opening match of the 2026 Namibia T20I tri-series in Windhoek. Chasing 164 for a win, South Africa reached just 145-9 in 20 overs, despite featuring an explosive 50-ball 75 from number three batter Dewald Brevis.

The outcome marked Namibia’s second successive win over their continental rivals, and the hosts went to top of the three-team points table with an NRR of 0.900.

Babar Azam flops for Pakistan in comeback Test vs England

Pakistan captain Babar Azam made just eight off 10 balls with two boundaries against England on Day 2 of their second Test match of the series at Lord’s in London. The legendary batter was dismissed by England paceman Josh Tongue as the visitors folded up for just 110 to concede a huge 180-run first-innings advantage to the hosts.

Interestingly, the match marks the return of Babar to the Pakistani playing XI after missing the series opener last week owing to an injury.

Saim Ayub shapes historic CPL 2026 ton for Kingsmen

Pakistan’s blistering opener Saim Ayub smashed 102 runs off just 58 balls for the Jamaica Kingsmen franchise against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in match number 18 of the CPL 2026 season in Basseterre. 

The cricketer launched six boundaries and eight huge sixes in his innings. In the process, Ayub became the first Pakistani cricketer in history to notch up a century in CPL.

Pat Cummins voices support for Imran Khan

Australian captain Pat Cummins has become the latest cricketer to express his support for jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Amidst Imran’s deteriorating health in prison, Cummins urged the Pakistan government to treat its World Cup winning skipper with the respect he deserves.

The seasoned Australian paceman took to X and expressed his support for Imran, to a post where Greg Chappell had dropped an update about the Pakistani legend.

Belfast Wolves captain Glenn Maxwell fined in ETPL 2026

Belfast Wolves captain Glenn Maxwell has been fined in the ongoing ETPL 2026 season. The legendary Australian all-rounder was found to have breached Article 2.3 of the ETPL Code of Conduct.

Fortunately for the Wolves franchise, there is no suspension attached to the decision, and no points deduction has been confirmed by the officials.
