Ashleigh Gardner’s Australian Team Breaks Silence On Georgia Voll Dating Controversy

Earlier this month, Ashleigh Gardner made headlines when her partner, Monica Wright, alleged that the all-rounder had cheated on her with Georgia Voll. 

Neither the two cricketers nor Cricket Australia have challenged Wright or commented on her allegations. 

However, the Women's Big Bash League (BBL) franchise Sydney Sixers, for whom Gardner plays and captains, have come out to make a sensational statement.  

Rachael Haynes backs Ashleigh Gardner amid cheating rumours

While talking to the media, Sydney Sixers Women's general manager Rachael Haynes has said that the WBBL club will support their captain Ashleigh Gardner. 

Furthermore, Haynes, who has been Gardner's teammate with Australia, didn't talk about the cheating allegations, choosing not to comment on her personal life. 

“I’m not going to comment on her personal life, or anything like that. But certainly we’ve exchanged messages," Rachael Haynes told the press as quoted by Code Sports.

“I’ve checked in with her; she knows that we’re here to support her. She’s a well-respected player within our program, an important player for us, so I think the most important thing is knowing that we’re there for her, we care about her and look forward to continuing with the club ongoing.

“Absolutely (as captain). Each year we make a recommendation to our board around our leaders. She’s certainly someone who did a fantastic job last year, and we’ll certainly be making that recommendation to our board that she continues."

What went wrong between Ash Gardner and Monica Wright?

Ash Gardner's partner blew massively in media when Monica Wright posted a story on Instagram with Georgia Voll's picture, stating "This is who my wife cheated on me with."

As per reports, Gardner and Wright have separated after the 2025 Women's World Cup in India, when the latter visited the Australian all-rounder during their WC campaign, but it only pushed them away. 

If reports are to be believed, after heading back home from India, the 29-year-old had the awkward conversation with her former partner before moving out their Sydney house. 

It is worth noting, the powercouple met on a dating app during the COVID19 outbreak before marrying each other in April 2025.

Are Ashleigh Gardner and Georgia Voll dating?

Both Ashleigh Gardner and Georgia Voll are integral parts of the Australian team, which recently won its record 12th ICC title in England, clinching the Women's T20 World Cup from the hosts at Lord's on July 5.

Since Voll's international debut in late 2024, the top-order batter has been pretty close to Gardner, Annabel Sutherland and Ellyse Perry. Although Ash Gardner's partner alleged about Voll dating the all-rounder, it doesn’t confirm any speculation about a relationship. 

Nevertheless, the two cricketers will be next in action in the upcoming season of the WBBL, starting from October 29. Gardner will led the Sixers, while Voll is a proud member of the Sydney Thunder.
