Indian pace ace Arshdeep Singh has revealed his all-time India XI during a recent podcast with content creator Krishnank Atrey. The left-arm pacer picked a team featuring some of the biggest players in Indian cricket, but one decision quickly became the biggest talking point.
Instead of choosing Rohit Sharma as an opener, Arshdeep placed him at number six, attracting attention on social media. He also added a light-hearted touch by joking about his own batting position compared to Jasprit Bumrah in T20Is.
Arshdeep Singh Picks India's All-Time XI; Rohit Sharma Moved To No. 6
It is important to mention that Arshdeep Singh picked Sachin Tendulkar and current India head coach Gautam Gambhir as his opening pair. He slotted former India captain Rahul Dravid at number three, adding stability and consistency at the top of the order.
Virat Kohli was placed at number four, with Yuvraj Singh picked at number five to provide attacking intent in the middle overs.
The biggest surprise came at no. 6, where Arshdeep selected Rohit Sharma. He clarified that he was picking the Rohit Sharma of the 2007 period, when the former Indian captain played as a middle-order batter before becoming a successful opener.
Taking a look at his numbers at no. 6, he has played 41 matches and made 1328 runs at an average of 42.83. Rohit's highest score at this batting position is 177, with 3 centuries and seven half-centuries to his name.

MS Dhoni was named at number seven as the wicketkeeper and finisher. In the bowling department, Harbhajan Singh was selected as the specialist spinner.
Zaheer Khan and Jasprit Bumrah formed the pace attack, while Arshdeep included himself as the third fast bowler.
The pacer also shared a funny moment while discussing the batting order. He joked that although Jasprit can bat higher in Test and ODI cricket, he would place himself above in T20 cricket because he believes he is the better batter in the shortest format.

Arshdeep Singh's Recent Performance Against England
Arshdeep Singh was recently part of India’s squad for the third ODI against England. It was his only appearance in the three-match series, and the outing proved to be a difficult one.
With the ball, the left-arm pacer went wicketless in his single match and finished with an economy rate of 7.20 as England's batters scored freely.
However, Arshdeep made a useful contribution with the bat. He scored 15 runs at an impressive strike rate of 250.00, showing his ability to add runs in the lower order when required.
