So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Rajarshi Das and Nikhil as we wrap up the proceedings of this fixture. A note of thanks to our scorer, Dushyant Madhukar as well.
There is more action coming up tomorrow in the U19 Asia Cup as Afghanistan U19 take on Malaysia U19 while Sri Lanka U18 face off against Bangladesh U19. Don't miss out on those matches.
What a start from Pakistan U19 to this 2026 U19 Asia Cup especially considering they are the defending champions. It sets up the match against India on Sunday nicely considering the 'Boys in Blue' are also coming off a thumping victory over Nepal.
Farhan Yousaf (Pakistan U19 Captain): "[On the performance] Obviously, it's a great win for the team. Both teams played good cricket in this match, so I am very happy about the performance.

[Were you worried when Noorullah Ayobi came up with his 70-run knock?] I think pitch behaved totally after 30 overs, Noorullah played an excellent innings.

[How well did you top-order play?] Our top-order gave us a good start. Usman was in great form in domestic cricket, Jahangir also.

[About the preparations for the game against India] Preparation is really good for the next match. This match was crucial for the batting line-up. It's not easy to chase 230. Obviously, chasing is not an easy part of cricket."
Ayaan Misbah (UAE U19 Captain): "[Where did it go wrong?] I think after they got some good partnerships, we lost energy in the field. We had a few dropped catches which was detrimental to our confidence.

[On Noorullah Ayobi's rearguard knock] Noorullah Ayobi is a fantastic player, he is a match-winning knock kind of a player. He is a winner. It gives me confidence in my team that I have a batter like him to stabilize the innings.

[Learnings from this game] We can take a lot of learnings from this game, where we can improve with our batting, fielding and bowling."
Usman Khan (Player of the Match): "The feeling is very good to have scored a century in a stage like this. In the beginning, it was swinging a bit. So, looked to take some time and then put away the bad balls. I did well in our domestic tournaments. I am following a good process which is helping me."

Time for the Post-match Presentation!
Jahangir Bilal: "[What was the plan for the chase] Our plan was to stitch a big partnership and take the game deep, that's what myself and Usman were discussing.

[On the bowling performance]  We looked to get them out early but they managed some runs in the end.

[Regarding the pitch] In the first innings, the pitch was tricky. In the 2nd innings, it was good. The team management's plan was also to stitch a big partnership.

[About Usman Khan] He is a good player, he has been playing at this level for 4 years.

[On the game against India] We are preparing for it, nothing else."
5:29 PM IST, 03:59 PM Local Time: The Pakistan U19 team clinical chase cruised to a dominant victory over UAE U19 as they win by 9 wickets, turning what could have been a competitive fixture into a masterclass of rhythmic, authoritative cricket.

Sent in to bat first, the UAE U19 innings sputtered early under a relentless onslaught before crawling to a meager total of 224. It took a brilliant, counter-attacking 70 from Noorullah Ayobi low down the order to give the Emirates' side a fighting chance, injecting life into a scorecard that was otherwise being methodically dismantled by Pakistan's bowling spearhead, Mohammad Sayyam, who finished with superb figures of 3 for 37.
