Milestone
That is all we have from the commentary box for this encounter. One more is going on and do join us for that clash between Gujarat Titans and the Delhi Capitals. It's goodbye from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/statistician Paras Yadav.
Yuzvendra Chahal- Felt a bit bad, but its okay. Part of the game. It was good that we won. Interesting win. If I had the hat-trick it would've been nice since I have never earned a hat-trick. The plan was I will give a new batter a googly since there was bounce and turn. (on bowling in Royals and with Ashwin) I first try to see the situation. What the team needs. Whether I go for dots or wickets.
Rohit Sharma, MI skipper- I thought they batted well to get to 193. Buttler played an exceptional innings, we tried everything we could to get him out. But I thought 193 on that pitch could've been chased, especially when we needed 70 in 7 overs. But these things can happen and its early days. We can learn. (Positives) Few. Bumrah bowling well. Mills as well. And Tilak played exceptionally. And Ishan's batting was terrific. I thought one of those two batting till the end would've made the difference. (Suryakumar's fitness) He is a key player for us. Once he gets fit, he comes in straight but we want him to recover since finger injuries are tricky.
Arya: It was always going to be a challenging run-chase for the Mumbai Indians. They got off to a good start with Rohit Sharma smashing a four and a six to begin his innings but fell in the same over of Prasidh Krishna to settle the nerves for the Royals. Ishan Kishan was joined by Anmolpreet Singh and he played a few delightful shots before his downfall.

The difference was the partnership between Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma. Both played some delightful shots to get themselves going. Kishan worked it along for singles and doubles when Tilak Verma started taking on the RR bowlers. He played some delightful shots and never looked like someone who was playing just his 2nd IPL match. It was a 81 runs partnership between the duo which helped MI roar back into the game.

It was a splendid catch by Navdeep Saini in the deep to send back Ishan Kishan. However, Tilak Verma kept taking the attack to the RR bowlers. He reverse swept Ravichandran Ashwin for a maximum down the deep third man area but the wily customer came back strongly the very next delivery as he foxed with a slower through the air delivery which dipped and turned away from him. He missed the sweep and the ball clattered onto the stumps.

Yuzvendra Chahal bagged back to back wickets of Tim David and Daniel Sams and would have bagged a well-deserved hat-trick had Karun Nair held onto the catch at slip. From there on it was an uphill task for MI to get over the line. Kieron Pollard tried to stay there till the end and steer his side through but that wasn’t to be. In the end they fell well short by 23 runs.

Arya: A convincing victory for the Rajasthan Royals in the end. A splendid innings from youngster Tilak Varma kept MI in the run-chase for a long time but some steady bowling in the death overs ensured that MI fell well short of the victory target in the end. They make it two out of two and climbs to the top of the points table with another resounding victory.

19.6 N Saini to K Pollard
W Jos Buttler rightly doing the finishing act. Again Navdeep Saini goes for the wide yorker outside off and ends up as a full toss. Pollard unable to get under that. Ends up hitting that from the cue end of the bat straight down the throat of the deep extra cover fielder Jos Buttler.
19.5 N Saini to K Pollard
0 A brilliant wide yorker again. Outside the off-stump channel and all Pollard manages is to open the face of the bat and plays it down the point area.
