Krunal Pandya | Man of the Match: "Yeah throughout the tournament I have been bowling well. Rahul Sanghvi has been a big big help. I have been working in 7-8 months with my bowling. I had given a thought that I need to develop my skills. The results everyone can see but I have worked hard for last 7-8 months. Lot of times when you are playing shorter formats you don't realize a lot of things. I have been trying to increase my height with my release and some things on my grip. I took Rahul Sanghvi's help and it has worked. Batting is slightly close to my heart. I haven't been contributing much with the bat but is a long tournament and going forward I will look to contribute with the bat."
KL Rahul | Lucknow Super Giants Skipper:"I was disappointed with the score. I was fuming after the first innings. That was stupid cricket with the bat. The experienced guys in the team. It does happen and we spoke about that in the mid-innings break. A couple of bad shots, the run-out didn't help. I was unhappy with the middle phase. But the crucial 20 30 runs by the bowlers and they executed their plans. to perfection with the ball. But the batting unit, we need to get back and be better. At Halftime when Quinney and Deepak was still batting, we felt that they batted brilliantly. They paced it really well and after the timeout, they hit boundaries and rotated the strike. It was a tricky pitch to bat on. We could have gone 10-15 runs extra had the batter stayed there but we lost 4-5 wickets in a heap. But we bowled really well. Krunal has been brilliant throughout the tournament. He has always been an economical bowler. He has worked really hard and he is getting us the crucial wickets. Bowling economically is also important but he has also been taking wickets. Bishnoi keeps taking those crucial wickets. Sometimes we don't mind if he goes for sixes if he is tossing it up. The fast bowlers have been exceptional. The way they have bowled in the powerplays has given us a lot of confidence. We need to be a bit smarter in reading the game. We could have not played so many shots and found a way to build the partnerships in the middle. That is something we need to go back and work. It's not a technical change. Just the mindset of the batsmen. We have been good in the field and with the ball. We have to be switched on and if we aren't that can hit you. We need to keep improving on what we can do better."
