Deepti Sharma (POTM): "No, it is important to start well that sets the tone. That was the belief. With the ball, I had to pick wickets and score quick runs. It is not a new bat, I played with it in the World Cup as well. But yes, enjoyed my time with the bat today. From the beginning, our mindset was not to look at the scorecard but just follow our plans and we should be able to defend it. (On Sophie Devine's run-out) It wasn't much, I just saw her outside the crease and decided to throw at the keeper, glad that it worked."

Smriti Mandhana (Indian Women Captain): "Definitely, it was a great win. It was a tough one and a half-month for us, but it was a great win for us. We felt pretty confident about defending this score from ball one. Saima was terrific, especially with Suzie's wicket. She's a special talent. She has been with us for one and a half month now as she was a travelling reserve. Really happy for her and hopefully it's the start of big things for her. Deepti is a star and she knows what she is doing. Radha chipped in really well too. The wicket assisted the slower bowlers."

Sophie Devine (New Zealand Women Captain): "Look I thought we did a fantastic job to keep them down to that total. It looked like a 250-260 wicket. Despite Amelia's efforts, we lost too many wickets and went down. I feel it was a great cricket wicket. All bowlers did a good job. At one stage, we looked like chasing 350-400 but we did well to pull things back. Yeah, hopefully she (Amelia Kerr) is fine. Look we have had a good couple of days recently but it is not an excuse for this performance."
