In her next appearance for the national team, the off-spinner claimed a two-for, helping New Zealand in their victory against Sri Lanka.
She began her journey in the sport, featuring in a team of boys along with her brothers in primary school. While Carson has also tried her hands at hockey and rugby, cricket overrode everything.

Her figures of 5-17 in the final of the 2021-22 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield enabled Otago Sparks' 138-run win over Wellington Blaze as the former lifted the trophy.
