Angelo Mathews (Kandy Royals Captain): "(How would you look back at the LPL?) Well to be honest, disappointed. We had the team. We performed as individuals but as a team, we have not performed at all. That showed when we were in the middle. We had them by their throats till the 9th or 10th over but then a couple of loose overs took it away. Ben and Jimmy batted really well. That's the experience of those two. They got them to a decent total. We probably had 9 batters in the team and you can not get all out for 134.
(Any views about this year's LPL that you would like to add?) Well, scheduling can be better. But the turn out today was fantastic. We got a lot of support from all around in the country and it is the biggest tournament. It is good to have LPL every year because that exposure is what you need as a youngster."
