Edinburgh Castle Rockers were consistent throughout the tournament and are the deserving winners of the inaugural edition. There is no doubt that the ETPL will be back next year, bigger and better.
What a tournament the first edition of the European T20 Premier League turned out to be. Lots of talent was unearthed from Associate nations and, along with experienced overseas pros, there was no compromise on the quality of cricket despite the tournament being held in countries where the sport is not as big as some others.
Mitchell Santner collects the trophy from Abhishek Bachchan and Brian MacNeice and celebrate the win with his teammates.
Mitchell Santner (Edinburgh Castle Rockers Captain): "[Feeling on winning the title] It is really good. Every team sets out at the start of the tournament to win it. To win it in the first year is really good.
[On the journey to winning the title] First-half, we were outstanding in Voorburg, knew the conditions would change. To qualify first was massive. Got a rest and then on a tricky wicket, boys put in a shift.
[About the team] We had a great squad. Few guys didn't get a chance to play but they were very good around the group. We were pretty consistent with our group, a couple of changes here and there.
[Experience of playing in Netherlands and Ireland] You always set out, overseas players especially look for something new. Malahide, Ireland is beautiful as well. Plenty of golf which is awesome. Hopefully, the tournament continues to grow."

Glenn Maxwell (Belfast Wolves Captain): "[Thoughts on the final] You are obviously disappointed every time you lose a final. Hats off to the Edinburgh team, they have been outstanding throughout the tournament and showed their class today. Andries batted well and took them over the line.
[What he would have changed apart from the result] Probably called tails at the toss. It is one of those things, we were a bit under-manned and needed a lot of things to go right and they executed better on the day and deserved the win.
[On being under-manned] Yeah, it was more about having an extra left-hander in the batting. They attacked us with left-arm spinners in the middle overs and made it probably 15-20 under par.
[Reflect on the season] It has been great fun, great experience. Two locations, I have never been a part of. Some indifferent weather, great fans and it has been awesome. The players I am sure had a great time in two beautiful parts of the world and certainly looking forward to many more years of this league.
[Win it next year?] We will be trying our best. It is a great start, hopefully we can build on it and let's hope to try and win it next year."

Brandon McMullen (Breakout Player of the Tournament): "It has been fantastic, winning the trophy is awesome and I am really glad to have put in performances. I think I was knocking on the door with a couple of 30s. Just looked to play nice and freely, listened to my dad and put away the reverse-sweep. Just stick to my game-plans, hit hard down the ground and play freely. I think a mixture of different things. Rubbing shoulders with world-class players. Learnt of a lot from just watching, great for Irish, Scottish and Dutch players. Excited and looking to defend the title."
