Sophia Dunkley (Hero of the Match): "[On the win today] Yeah, it was great to get the win. Nice to go to the top of the table.

[On her approach this season] I just tried to go out there and play with freedom and enjoy myself. With the batting order that we have, we can play with freedom.

[What's working for them this season?] We are just being brave with the bat. Sophie Luff is great in the middle order. That aggression is feeling good and the bowlers are doing a great job."
Hero of the Match: Sophia Dunkley
10:02 PM IST, 5:32 PM Local Time: That's it. Trent Rockets complete the double over Birmingham Phoenix in the Women's Hundred 2026. They emerge victorious in front of their home crowd to go to the top of the table. The Rockets have now won four games in a row and are looking unstoppable. The Phoenix, on the other hand, continue to languish in the bottom half of the table.
Chasing 123, Sophia Dunkley looked solid at the top of the order. Beth Mooney fell cheaply on seven inside the powerplay. Dunkley kept going strong and received good support from Nat Sciver-Brunt as both kept the Phoenix at bay, who failed to build any pressure on the batting pair.
Dunkley and Sciver-Brunt put 62 between them before the latter fell on 24. Skipper Ashleigh Gardner registered a golden duck but Dunkley was unfazed as she brought up her fifty in just 26 balls. She scored 65 off 37 before holing out in the deep on the 73rd ball.
Sophie Luff (19*) and Bess Heath (7*) provided the finishing touches to the run chase as the Rockets got across the line in 84 balls with six wickets in hand. Lauren Filer (1/23), Linsey Smith (1/25), Alana King (1/40) and Alice Capsey (1/16) picked up a wicket apiece for Phoenix but they failed to defend the total.
Earlier, Phoenix were asked to bat first. Davina Perrin scored 18 at the top of the order before falling inside the powerplay. Emma Lamb at five held the innings nicely after the visitors lost Alice Capsey (1) and skipper Ellyse Perry (1) cheaply. Lamb received good support from Tammy Beaumont (24) and Annerie Dercksen (21).
