That's it from all of us for this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Bye bye.
Amy Jones (Match Hero): "Always good to contribute to the team and to get a win on the board is always a great feeling. Going in we were looking at 140-150 but we were a bit short of that. Tactical timeout is where we made the decision for one of us to bat through.

Pezz was unbelievable, when you got someone like that in your team and she can deliver such a performance is always good. I think acknowledging that we were not far away and we were playing well, so much has happened in between but we just wanted to back ourselves."

6:17 PM IST, 1:47 PM Local Time: That’s it. Birmingham Phoenix Women win back-to-back games. They carry forward the winning momentum and beat the Southern Brave Women by 16 runs. The defending champions continue to struggle in their title defence as they remain winless in the Women's Hundred 2024.

Chasing 138, Smriti Mandhana and Danielle Wyatt opened for the Southern Brave Women. Mandhana played some delightful strokes before Ellyse Perry introduced herself into the attack. She dismissed Mandhana (15), Maia Bouchier (0) and Georgia Adams (2) in the space of six balls as the Brave Women were reduced to 21/3 in the fourth set. Wyatt was joined by Freya Kemp as both led the recovery work.

Wyatt found regular boundaries and Kemp also got going at the other end as both took their stand past 50. Kemp departed on 23 as the 68-run stand came to an end in the 13th set. Wyatt was dismissed in the very next set on 43 as the hosts stormed back into the game. The lower-order batters failed to contribute for the Brave Women as they got bundled out on 121 in 97 balls to lose the game by 16 runs.

Ellyse Perry and Charis Pavely picked up three wickets each for Birmingham Phoenix Women. Katie Levick, Emily Arlott and Hannah Baker chipped in with a scalp each as they completed a fantastic performance with the ball to defend the total successfully. Amy Jones kept brilliantly and finished with six dismissals to her name.

The Phoenix Women were asked to bat first. They lost Sophie Devine (6) early in the innings. Sterre Kalis looked good at the crease but fell on 14. Skipper Ellyse Perry along with Amy Jones led the recovery work. Jones played some beautiful strokes. Perry scored a run-a-ball 14 before holing out in the deep. Richa Ghosh (9) and Seren Smale (8) registered single-digit scores.

There was no stopping Jones as she kept going strong from the other end and brought up her fifty off 35 balls. She fell on 51 in the penultimate set. Emily Arlott played a fantastic cameo of 12-ball 22 to take her side to 137/7. Each of the six Brave bowlers entered the wickets column, with Tilly Coleman finishing with two. The batters then faltered and failed to chase down the total.
