IPL has witnessed some unbelievable batting performances over the years, with several star batters dominating attacks and rewriting record books. Scoring centuries consistently in a tournament like that of IPL remains one of the toughest achievements for any player.
Only a handful of batters have managed to turn big starts into memorable hundreds regularly in IPL history. Their ability to accelerate, handle pressure situations, and play match-winning knocks has separated them from the rest across multiple seasons of the tournament.
As the IPL continues to grow bigger every year, the race for most centuries has become one of the most exciting batting records to follow. Here is the list of players who have registered the most hundreds in IPL history so far.
Most Hundreds in IPL History
4. 5 hundreds in IPL by Sanju Samson
Number four on the list is Sanju Samson, who has scored five IPL centuries and remains one of Indian cricket’s most consistent white-ball batters in recent years. His performances for Rajasthan Royals and now CSK have further strengthened his reputation in the tournament.
The right-handed batter, who debuted in IPL 2013, has scored 5134 IPL runs while representing Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils, and CSK. His first hundred came in 2017 for Delhi, while two centuries each for Rajasthan and CSK have followed since then.
3. 6 hundreds in IPL by KL Rahul
Next on the list is KL Rahul, who has scored six IPL centuries and stands joint-third on the all-time list. One of the most dependable batters in the tournament, Rahul has consistently delivered impactful performances across different franchises during his IPL journey.
Rahul began his IPL career with RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad before scoring his maiden century for Kings XI Punjab against Mumbai Indians in 2019. He later added another for Punjab, two for LSG in 2022, and two more for Delhi Capitals, including an unbeaten 152 recently.
3. 6 hundreds in IPL by Chris Gayle
If there is an IPL batting records list and Chris Gayle is not featured, it is almost impossible to imagine. Widely regarded as one of the greatest batters in IPL history, Gayle has smashed six centuries and remains joint-third on the all-time IPL hundreds list.
Gayle began his IPL journey with KKR, but his legendary run came with RCB where he completely dominated bowling attacks. His first IPL century came against KKR in 2011 at Eden Gardens, and he later scored five hundreds for RCB before adding another for Kings XI Punjab in 2018.
