The veteran RCB pacer Bhuvneshwar is one of the most experienced bowlers currently active in the IPL. He has also been one of the impactful performers with the ball in the tournament’s history, be it the wicket-taking ability or restricting the opponent’s scoring rate with economical bowling. 

Bhuvneshwar is currently the bowler with the most balls bowled in IPL history, with 1793 dot balls to his name. ‘Bowling dots’ is undoubtedly a piece of art in the tournament, which is mostly dominated by the batters.

Sunil Narine - 1694 Dot Balls

The veteran off-spinner Sunil Narine has been the most impactful bowler for three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders. He has also been a part of KKR’s IPL title-winning sides on all the three occasions. Narine is the leading wicket-taker in IPL history for KKR. 

He has picked 192 wickets in 187 innings of his 189 IPL games. He has picked these wickets at a decent economy rate of 6.79, including seven four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul. 

Speaking of his dot balls, Sunil Narine is currently in the second spot on the list of the bowlers who have bowled the most dot balls in IPL history. He has bowled 4345 balls in his IPL career so far, including 1694 dot balls. 

Being the closest one to Bhuvneshwar in terms of dot balls, Narine is the top contender to break the veteran pacer’s record and achieve this milestone.  

Jasprit Bumrah - 1397 Dot Balls 

Mumbai Indians’ star pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, has established himself as the most successful bowler for his side in the IPL history. He is currently the leading wicket-taker in IPL history for the Mumbai Indians. Bumrah has claimed 183 wickets in 145 innings, including three wicket hauls and two five-wicket hauls. 

Apart from his exceptional wicket-taking ability, Jasprit Bumrah is also known for his economical bowling and pushing the batters away from scoring runs. In the same vein, he has bowled 1397 dot balls out of his IPL career’s total 3336 balls he has bowled. 

In the coming seasons, Bumrah has a chance to surpass Bhuvneshwar and become the bowler with the most dot balls in IPL. 

Mohammed Siraj - 1001 Dot Balls 

The former RCB pacer, Mohammed Siraj, is set to be in action for the Gujarat Titans in the upcoming IPL 2026. He finished his RCB stint as the third-leading wicket-taker for them in the IPL, with 83 wickets in 87 innings, including a four-wicket haul. 

In his first appearance for GT last year in IPL 2025, Siraj ended up as the bowler with the most dot balls in the tournament, with 151 balls of conceding no runs. He has bowled a total of 1001 dot balls in his almost nine-year-long IPL career across nine editions so far. 

Mohammad Siraj also has a knack for breaking Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record of the most dot balls, given the next 6-7 years of his being active in IPL. 

Varun Chakravarthy - 722 Dot Balls 

The mystery spinner, Varun Chakravarthy, has been in action for KKR in IPL since 2020 after his first season with Punjab Kings in IPL 2019. In his 84-game IPL career, Chakravarthy has picked 100 wickets in 83 innings at an economy rate of 7.57, including one four-wicket haul and one five-wicket haul. 

Notably, Chakravarthy seems to have a couple of years in him to play in IPL, which could give him a chance to increase his current number of dot balls from 722. He is also in contention to break Bhuvneshwar’s record of the most dot balls in IPL history. 

Arshdeep Singh - 639 Dot Balls 

The left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh, has been active in IPL for Punjab Kings since its debut in the 2019 edition. He has been one of the consistent performers with the ball for his side in the tournament. In just his seven-season IPL career, Arshdeep has become the leading wicket-taker in PBKS history. 

He has picked 97 wickets in 81 innings, including two four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul. Besides that, he has bowled 639 dot balls in his IPL career. Given his age and potentially remaining 10 IPL seasons of his career, the 27-year-old pacer has enough time and talent to surpass Bhuvneshwar Kumar and become the bowler with the most dot balls in IPL.
