The Men in Blue required their all-rounder to be in the best of form.Notably, Pandya had a game to forget against USA, where he scored 5 (6) with the bat and didn't pick a solitary wicket. Also, it is important to note that Pandya didn't feature in Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan as he missed out because of an injury just before the final. Therefore, India will require Pandya against Pakistan because the all-rounder has a great record against the Men in Green across formats. Also, the Men in Blue are most likely to be without Abhishek Sharma, who is still recovering from upset stomach.
