Divyansh Joshi’s record-breaking century helped Meerut Mavericks lift the UPT20 2026 trophy, crushing Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs at Ekana Stadium on Sunday. This was the Mavericks’ second title in four final appearances.

Asked to open the batting alongside the permanent opener Swastik Chikara, Joshi launched an attack, pushing every Lucknow bowler, including veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, aside.

Divyansh Joshi’s record ton powers Meerut Mavericks to UPT20 2026 title

Joshi went on to smash one of the greatest knocks in the league’s history, bringing up a breathtaking 105 off just 40 deliveries, laced with 12 boundaries and seven massive sixes. The Mavericks’ batter also created history by smashing the fastest century in the UPT20 League.

His spectacular century propelled Mavericks to a daunting total of 203/7 in their allotted 20 overs, setting a towering benchmark for the Falcons.

Faced with the pressure of a massive 204-run target in their maiden final, Lucknow Falcons were never allowed to settle into the game. The Meerut bowling attack, led by Vishal Chaudhary and Zeeshan Ansari, who took 4 and 2 wickets respectively, struck with ruthless consistency.

Eventually, the Bhuvneshwar Kumar-led Lucknow Falcons were bowled out for only 109 runs.

For his breathtaking century, Divyanshi Joshi was adjudged Player of the Match. Alongside Zeeshan Ansari’s Purple Cap triumph, Kashi Rudra's skipper Karan Sharma was awarded the Orange Cap for finishing the season as the highest run-scorer with 361 runs.

Notably, these names are not the only top performers of the season. As the season has come to an end, we have prepared the UPT20 2026 Team Of The Tournament.

Top-order: Karan Sharma, Swastik Chikara, Sameer Rizvi

Kashi Rudras’ captain Karan Sharma delivered yet another stellar batting performance in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League season 2026. He finished as the top run scorer in the 2025 and 2026, amassing 519 and 361, in both the seasons respectively.

He scored a magnificent 102 runs off just 51 balls, hitting 11 fours and 5 sixes, the first century of the 2026 season. He won multiple Player of the Match awards throughout the season and finished the season with the most runs, winning the Orange Cap.

Ex-RCB batter Swastik Chikara starred for the Meerut Mavericks in the 2026 UPT20 league, accumulating 308 runs at a high strike rate of 166.49 to help his team capture the Season 4 title.

Chikara cemented his status as one of the tournament’s premier run-machines and all-time leading batter for his team, maintaining a strike rate of 166.49.

Meanwhile, Sameer Rizvi also had a strong UPT20 2026 campaign for the Kanpur Superstars, highlighted by an astonishing average of 44.29. In just 9 games, Rizvi scored 310 runs at an impressive strike rate of 151.22.

Middle-order: Ajeet Verma, Upendra Yadav (wk), Rinku Singh (c)

Ajeet Verma played for Lucknow Falcons, finishing with 302 runs, including 3 match-saving fifties. Notably, he starred in the UPT20 2026 Grand Finale against Meerut, providing the only major resistance with a fighting 39 off 24 balls.

After helping his team book a place in the playoffs with an unbeaten 75 off 45 balls, the batter earned massive praise from the captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar for transforming their batting lineup.

Kashi Rudras’ Upendra Yadav secures a spot in the UPT20 2026 Team of the Tournament for his wicketkeeping prowess.

Meanwhile, with the bat, Yadav amassed 177 runs and played a crucial knock of 57 (29) against the 2026 title champions Meerut Mavericks in the match number 29, helping his team win by 56 runs.

Rinku Singh, the left-handed Indian batter, who has recently been left out of the squad for the upcoming series against Afghanistan, made a massive statement, leading his team, Meerut Mavericks, to a title win in the fourth season of the UPT20 league.

Though he had little to contribute with the bat in the final, it is worth noting that Rinku’s leadership skills shone through as his team defeated Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Lucknow Falcons by 94 runs in the final.

Moreover, in 10 games this season, he scored a total of 241 runs at a strike rate of 169.72, the best among the top 10 highest run-scorers of the season.

All-rounder: Prashant Veer

Fresh off his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign, Prashant Veer once again proved why he was picked for a hefty ₹14.20 crores in the auction.

The all-rounder delivered a brilliant performance in the UPT20 League 2026, scoring 245 runs and taking 11 wickets across the tournament.

Throughout the season, he played several crucial finishing knocks, including a standout unbeaten 58* off 28 balls in the Eliminator against Kashi Rudras where he smashed 27 runs in the final over, and a blistering 50* off 27 balls earlier in the season.

Along with that, he also picked up crucial breakthroughs, including a 3-wicket haul vs Meerut Mavericks.

Bowlers: Zeeshan Ansari, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Abhinandan Singh, Atal Bihari Vipin Rai

The standout bowler of the season, Zeeshan Ansari, finished the 2026 Uttar Pradesh T20 League as the tournament's leading wicket-taker (25 wickets in 10 matches), helping the Meerut Mavericks claim the championship.

Even in the final, he delivered a suffocating and economical spell of 2/12 in his 4 overs against the Lucknow Falcons to dominate the game.

On the back of two successive IPL titles with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Bhuvneshwar Kumar led Lucknow Falcons to the final.

After losing three of their first four games, Bhuvneshwar Kumar inspired a massive comeback, winning five of their next six league matches to finish second on the points table.

Consistently, in the tournament, the veteran Indian pacer delivered a vintage new-ball masterclass to lead his team to comprehensive wins.

He scalped 14 wickets in 11 games, highlighted by a sensational spell of 4/10 in 4 overs against the Mavericks.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar found his perfect bowling partner in Abhinandan Singh, who aptly complemented the senior Indian bowler with his ability to seam the ball and consistently hit 140 kmph.

The pacer very recently rubbed shoulders with fast bowlers like Josh Hazlewood in the IPL 2026 at the RCB dugout. Lastly, he finished the season with 24 wickets, only one less than the highest-wicket-taker of the season, Zeeshan Ansari.

Atal Bihari Vipin Rai was yet another name who impressed one and all with his fast bowling prowess.

The Kashi Rudras pacer scalped 15 wickets in 11 games, finishing fourth in the highest-wickets tally.
