Milestone
A fantastic evening for Northern Superchargers as both the men's and women's teams got the wins against London Spirit. More actions are coming your way, and stay tuned to our network for those exciting fixtures. Up next is the CPL clash between Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and Trinbago Knight Riders coming up in a couple of hours.

For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Karthik Raj, scorer/analyst Paras Yadav and statistician Aman, who brought you all the live action of this thrilling game. We will meet again. Until then, it's cheers!
Zak Crawley (Hero of the Match): "Yeah, important game for us to win. Good all-round performance. I try to keep the fundamentals same. Maybe, I premeditate more than I do in the red-ball game. You have got great players coming behind you, so you can play freely.

(Regarding the brilliant effort by the bowlers) Absolutely, surprised I am standing here to be honest. Rash (Adil Rashid) was fantastic and so were the other guys."
Zak Crawley has been named as the 'Hero of the Match'.

1:32 AM IST and 9:02 PM Local Time: A collective bowling display followed by a comprehensive batting performance seals Northern Superchargers a thumping eight-wicket win over London Spirit at the Home of Cricket!

Earlier in the game, Harry Brook won the toss and decided to bowl first. On what was a tricky surface to bat on, the Spirit struggled throughout their innings and ended up posting a below-par score of 135/3 in 100 balls. They had a sluggish start with the seasoned campaigners David Warner and Kane Williamson failing to adapt to the tough conditions. At the other end, Jamie Smith was timing the ball cleanly, and he hammered a classy 27-ball 41.

Ollie Pope (52* off 38) and Ashton Turner (28* off 22) added an unbeaten 65-run partnership for the fourth wicket, with the former getting a half-century, but they found it hard to accelerate despite seven wickets left in the tank. There wasn't a boundary scored in the last 20 balls of their innings, summing up the way the visitors bowled.

Tom Lawes picked up two wickets but was the most expensive bowler of the five used by Brook. Matthew Potts scalped one wicket that came in his opening set when he removed Warner for a four-ball duck. Spinners Mitchell Santner and Adil Rashid were extremely smart in the middle and last phases of the innings, choking down the runs.

Zak Crawley set the run chase on fire with a hat-trick of boundaries in the first set. The Superchargers needed to make most of the powerplay, and they just did what the doctor had ordered, hammering 44 in the first five sets. Dawid Malan struggled to get going, but hit a couple of lovely strokes in his 21-ball 22, before Jamie Overton broke the 63-run opening stand in the 45th ball.

Crawley continued with his cracking stroke play and got Dan Lawrence's support as the two stylish cricketers took a bit of time to get in post Malan's dismissal before breaking free to stitch a match-winning 56-run second-wicket partnership. Lawrence (37 off 22) failed to stay till the end, with Richard Gleeson picking up a consolating wicket. Crawley (55* off 38) and Harry Brook (9* off 3) ensured that the tourists didn't waste much time in getting the job done as Northern Superchargers cruised home with 18 balls left.

With this win, the Superchargers have 16 points and sit comfortably in third place, while the Spirit languish at the 7th place with 8 points.

4 FOUR! THE SKIPPER FINISHES IT OFF! Short of a length and wide of off, Brook heaves it to the right of mid-on for a boundary. What a dominant performance from start to finish as the Superchargers win by 8 wickets and 18 balls to spare.
