That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. This is Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of my colleagues Aditya, Ayan Chatterjee and Paras Yadav.
Amanda-Jade Wellington (Player of the Match): "Yes, great win in the end. We kept our composure to win. The partnership between Wolvaardt at the top was crucial and then our bowlers bowled really well out there and got the result in the end. I enjoyed myself out there and had fun. Just played my natural game and swung around to get the runs. That was what we did and got the job done. Tahlia did think we got enough and our bowlers did an amazing job as they stood up under pressure. I think we did well. Yes, we have to improve our catching as catches win matches as you know. So, that is an area that we have to work on. Thank You."

3:41 PM IST and 9:11 PM Local Time: The Adelaide Strikers have won a nicely contested game against the Sydney Sixers by a margin of 11 runs. The game was rushing away from the Strikers in the chase but the bowlers - especially Anesu Mushangwe, Megan Schutt and Amanda-Jade Wellington - got them over the line. After the Sixers posted a massive 171 runs on the board, they came out all guns blazing as they got the wicket of Hollie Armitage early on. However, skipper Ellyse Perry and Sarah Bryce took it to their chins as they formed a rampant partnership, taking advantage of the batting powerplay. They were robust against the seamers and equally impressive against the slower bowlers, as they formed a stand of 80 runs for the second wicket. The skipper scored a quickfire half-century but she fell prey to Darcie Brown in the 10th over the chase. Bryce continued with the job work as she kept holding the forte from one end before Brown got another set batter dismissed in the 17th over. Then, the Strikers used the Power Surge on their advantage as Mushangwe took two crucial wickets in a single over to put the Sixers under the pump. Schutt and Wellington followed it up by bowling crucial penultimate and ultimate overs to sum off things. Earlier in the day, the Sixers lost four early wickets in the first half of their innings, but Bridget Patterson and Orla Prendergast revived the innings with a 54-run partnership. It was then backed by a wonderful cameo of Amanda-Jade Wellington, who slammed the bowlers in all corners of the park during her 16-ball 40 blitz.

0 THAT'S IT!! Adelaide Strikers Women win the match by 11 runs and get their campaign up and running with 2 crucial points. Coming to the delivery, Wellington throws it wide outside off, Cheatle shuffles across and has a swing across the line but misses it to the keeper.
19.5 A Wellington to L Cheatle
2 Loopy delivery wide outside off, Cheatle comes down the track and chips it over mid off, comes back for a couple.
